The restaurant is housed in a 200-year-old Portuguese heritage home that has been restored and given Nawabi-inspired interiors, with a courtyard and lush greenery around the tables.
The food is heirloom Awadhi and Dum Pukht cuisine by Chef Azaan Qureshi, third generation of the Qureshi Khandan and grandson of Padma Shri Chef Imtiaz Qureshi, the visionary behind Dum Pukht at ITC Maurya. Dum cooking seals ingredients and slow-cooks them to develop depth, aroma and balance.
Guests come for the Kesar Bagh Kakori, a melt-in-the-mouth kebab of minced goat perfumed with cloves and cinnamon; Dal Ma Qureshi; the Kesar Bagh Dum Biryani of goat and saffron basmati cooked in a sealed handi; and Jhinga Dum Nisha, jumbo prawns finished with saffron seafood chutney. Royal Lucknowi kebabs are paired with cocktails at the bar.
